Building a new story

the local community, to help young people in situations of social and financial vulnerability find ways to build a decent life story through education and work.”

Projects we support:

• Young apprentice
  DLC has already transformed the lives of young apprentices who are now part of our team of employees. Our current rate is that 50% of young people are hired at DLC after its Young Apprentice Contract ends.

• Skateboarding Championship
  DLC supports the skateboarding championship in the city of Biritiba-Mirim, with a focus on fun and love for the sport. Aim is to get more and more children to enjoy skateboarding and contribute to education.

• Transform Program
  

  The Transform Program, launched in September 2023, offers opportunities for adolescents aged 16 to 18, residents of the Mar do Norte neighborhood in Rio das Ostras, from families in situations of social vulnerability.
  Participants receive the following benefits: a monthly stipend, food assistance, and health insurance, in addition to technical or vocational training courses. These benefits are complemented by continuous development support, including computer classes, practical workshops, and guidance provided by the CIEE placement agency. • Knowledge Project
  

  The project’s main focus is to meet the basic food needs of families in situations of social vulnerability in the Mar do Norte neighborhood. The distribution of food baskets and the follow-up with the families are carried out in partnership with the Residents’ Association, ensuring close and personalized support.
  From September 2023 to August 2024, 27 families were selected to receive monthly food baskets.

• Sponsorships
  Since 2024, DLC Oil & Maritime has been one of the sponsors of this event, which not only contributes to the development of young talents but also reinforces DLC’s commitment to social impact, inclusion, and support for sports, especially within local communities.
  DLC supports the appreciation of sports, discipline, and talent, creating an emotional connection with the brand and the communities involved.
  

Promotion of health and quality of life:
Aligned with DLC’s mission to promote the well-being of its employees, the company offers free slots for participation in the Engineer’s Run, promoting:

1. Engagement and well-being: encouragement of physical activity, strengthening physical and emotional health;
2. Integration and team spirit: opportunities to strengthen bonds among employees outside the work environment.

In addition to its own initiatives, DLC also contributes to projects that promote inclusion, human development, and opportunities for young people in situations of social vulnerability.

We support a hockey team, encouraging sports participation, social integration, and the strengthening of local culture through sports.

We also provide monthly support to the Flotilha Project, a social initiative that uses sailing as a development tool for young people, promoting discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and social inclusion.

• Non-Profit Association
  We support the School of Benignators, an initiative of the Economia ao Natural Institute (IEN), focused on training change agents committed to compassionate learning, social inclusion, and human development.
